Ten years ago, a walk across Spain gave me the clarity to start Coregami. This May, I found myself back on El Camino de Santiago — this time on the Portuguese Way. Between the endless hills and cobblestones, somewhere between Porto and Santiago, I was hobbling on bad knees with a backpack that was too heavy (again). But the Camino has a way of stripping everything down to essentials. Kind of like what we do with formal wear.
While most companies measure success with spreadsheets and PowerPoints, we measure ours in artists served and sweat stains avoided. This year, we found ourselves in an unlikely place — dressing The United States Air Force Band at President Carter's funeral in DC. Our waterproof trenchcoats stood guard against the elements, just as the Band stood in honor of a great American. These same uniforms will make their way to the Presidential Inauguration on January 2025. We're deeply honored to play a small role in such historic events.
Life at home has its own rhythm. Each morning starts with in the dark with the Ashtanga primary series. My office hours are less predictable and can run from 8am till whenever my battery runs low. The real highlights come at night, when my girls and I dive into our stack of books. For the past few years, we've been reading 3-5 books every night. It has become our time to sit shoulder to shoulder and examine the world together. Between "Dragons Love Tacos" and Dr Seuss, we've created our own little ritual that makes the world a bit less complicated.
Looking ahead to 2025, we're finally ready to answer the question we've been asked since day one: "What about the ladies?" Well, our women's collection is coming! It's been years in development because, well, we're slow learners (and we simply want to do it right). For our men's line, we're going back to the drawing board to make everything more functional, more useful, more purpose-ful. Our philosophy remains simple — formal wear should work as hard as the artists wearing them.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
As Artists serving Artists, we're in this for the long haul. We want to continue serving our community — to do good and to do better. From symphony halls to military bands, from concert stages to wedding aisles, we'll keep pushing forward and we can't wait to share this journey with you.
See you all on stage.
